Multicopters

This is a small copter using prepreg uni and twill weave carbon fiber on a small aluminum mold with a silicone female.
(2013)
​I have wanted to build a quadcopter for some time and one of my friends suggested we build one together, so we started planning and designing. Initially I was thinking of building it out of foam, however ultimately I changed my design because the foam design was heavy and I was not able to find a close supplier of the foam I needed. I redesigned it to be built out of aluminum plate and tubing. After finishing the quadcopter I realized it was very overbuilt and much heavier than necessary.


Then I made a foam-aluminum composite one for myself. It was fun and flew well.
